I love November because it gives us an excuse to slow down and reflect on what we are grateful for. Although we are smack dab in the middle of the busy end of the year Holiday rush, I really try to create a yearly 30 days of Gratitude album or layout.

This year my heart is in the right place, but the hard part is getting started because there are so many choices:
- Traditional, Hybrid or Digital?
- What Kit(s) do I use?
- What size?
Well, it is November 4th and I (finally) got it!
- simple hybrid style
- 6×8 album- Simple Stories Snap Binder, 6 by 8-Inch, Yellow
and of course,
Pocket Life ’15: October Collection by Traci Reed
I started by printing at home on heavy white cardstock all the Journal Cards included in the kit. It is so helpful that Traci includes PDFs for all Cards making printing EASY! Then I cut them up.
Next I created my numbers using the Alpha sets, Stickers and Embellishments from the kit. And cut those out too.
I have all my supplies readily available to jot down something I am thankful for each day. I have to make it simple otherwise I won’t follow through and I will have (another) incomplete scrap project! lol I am only 4 days in and have had a couple busy days where I didn’t have time to jot something I am grateful for. No need to worry, I quickly sent myself an email with a thankful note for the day. I put those emails in a special folder making them easy to find for when I am ready to transfer them.
I haven’t started assembling the actual album and plan to print photos to accompany my daily journal cards. I am thinking I will assemble on the weekend for the previous week.
I am excited to see my project come together and have an album my Family will cherish.
