Hello scrappers! Do you remember in January when we made 5 fantastic scrapping resolutions for 2015? As we are approaching the end of the year (where did the time go?), I thought I would “check in” with you to see how we’re all doing. Let’s take a look at what we resolved to do for this year’s scrapping projects…
I resolve to research book or page printers before I start a scrap project. Have you found the right way to get those creations off your computer and into a printed form that is easy to enjoy? I know from talking to other scrappers that sometimes we never print our layouts. I have discovered that there is great value for my family in printing my layouts in books. My children really enjoy looking at them and my daughter will ask me to sit and look at one of the books with her. It is such a great thing to do together! So in case you haven’t thought about printing any of 2015’s scrap projects, I encourage you to give it some thought.
I resolve to create an organization system that works for me. So how’s that working for you? Did you find a system and stick with it? Has it changed over the year as you adapted to what worked best for you? Just remember… it’s never too late to get organized.
I resolve to be realistic about the time I have for my project. And the end of the year is a great time to get realistic if you have fallen behind with a project. Is it time to simplify? Use more templates? Try another scrapping style like pocket pages to see if that helps maximize the scrapping time you have? If you haven’t used one of Traci’s monthly Pocket Life collections, they are great all-in-one collections for scrapping a month of photos. Check out the most recent month’s collection here. (You’ll have to add link since I don’t know what the most recent month will be at the time of posting this.)
I resolve to find a scrapping style that works for me, not for the person whose layouts I most admire. As I said at the beginning of the year, I truly think that finding what makes you happy as a scrapper is really important to the success of your project. Scrap for you, for your family, for a creative outlet… and…
Scrap to HAVE FUN! This was our last resolution. I hope that it has been a fun year of scrapping for you. Good luck with all your projects!
